Developed guidance for government on how to support and create incentives for evaluation of digital inclusion initiatives. The guidance is accompanied by a set of case studies of good examples of evaluation of digital inclusion initiatives. These reports are being used by the Department of Internal Affairs to promote better and more consistent evaluation of digital inclusion, across the system.

Several contributions were made to Housing New Zealand’s longitudinal research project, including provision of interviewing services, analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, development of a logic model and evaluation framework, and reporting on specific topics of interest. The research has been used to improve services for tenants and applicants.

An evaluation of New Zealand researchers’ usage of, and outcomes from using the Australian Synchrotron was completed, and informed the negotiations for further New Zealand access to the facility.

Case study of the Regional Partnerships Programme in Wellington

Year: 2008

A detailed case study of the Regional Partnerships Programme’s activity in the Wellington region was completed, contributing to the Ministry’s evaluation of the scheme across New Zealand. This was the first case study to be completed as part of the evaluation, and was used by the Ministry as a guide for the remainder of the case studies.
